for our next project, we are planning our terrace for next spring.
In the attached picture, we have sketched the terrace shown in the photo.
It will be a wooden terrace.
As a privacy screen from the neighbors, we have planned a raised planter bed along the edge of the terrace, which we can then plant.
What materials would you use for this raised planter bed?
We would be very grateful for any ideas, suggestions, or pictures.

Martens19877 Dec 2016 12:37The terrace has a depth of 4 meters (13 feet) and a width of approximately 9.5 meters (31 feet). The raised bed should be about 1.5 meters (5 feet) wide and 0.8 meters (2.5 feet) high.
Here are some ideas we had for building the raised bed...
- Gabions
- Formwork blocks with plaster matching the house
- Formwork blocks cladded with rhombus slats
- Formwork blocks cladded with brick slips
We would appreciate any tips or advice on the pros and cons of these options.
