Hello everyone,
When building a garden shed (timber frame construction) with HPL panels as the facade, I am unsure about the correct installation method for the panels. It is commonly recommended that HPL panels must be ventilated from behind. However, I have seen different installation methods from various manufacturers in photos.
Here, a substructure is screwed onto OSB boards, and the HPL panels are mounted onto that.
Here, the HPL panels are mounted directly onto the wooden beams.
Would the following configuration be possible (from outside to inside)?
HPL – substructure as battens (vertical) – OSB boards – KVH (solid structural timber)
