Good evening everyone, I recently purchased some Ikea Brimnes furniture for my new apartment and plan to assemble it myself. I am particularly interested in how long the average assembly time for these Brimnes products usually is. Does anyone have experience or reliable information on this? I am especially concerned with the common Brimnes dressers and bed frames. It would be helpful if you could also break down your times according to the level of difficulty or the number of parts. Thanks in advance!

I strongly recommend not working under time pressure.

I can only agree. Ikea furniture is designed for self-assembly, but with the Brimnes series, you can notice the many connection points and sometimes fiddly screws. Anyone trying to build it quickly risks making mistakes or damaging parts.

It is also important to keep in mind that although Ikea’s assembly instructions are very clear, they may not be self-explanatory for beginners. Especially with bed frames, you should really take your time to ensure nothing is wobbly or incorrectly fitted.

For assembling the Brimnes dressers, I typically set aside about 2 hours. Bed frames require more time, approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Experience with furniture assembly saves time.
