Hello everyone, I am currently planning renovation work in my kitchen and want to adapt or optimize the existing Ikea Metod cabinets as effectively as possible. My question is: What proven methods and tips are there to functionally upgrade Ikea Metod base cabinets and wall cabinets during renovations and best adapt them to new room layouts or changing needs? For example, converting to internal pull-outs, better use of cabinet depth, reinforcement for frequently opened doors, or solutions for unused corner spaces. I appreciate detailed experiences, including recommendations on materials or modifications.
Regarding the 60cm (24 inch) cabinets: I have had good experiences with the classic interior pull-outs from Metod, which are precisely designed for this width. They can often be combined modularly, making individual arrangement easier.
Shelves are invaluable, especially when they are height-adjustable, as this allows for very flexible storage of small or tall items. The Ikea inserts sometimes also offer adjustable compartments, which are particularly practical for bottles or tall containers.

Additionally, regularly clean the interior drawers that hold wet or greasy kitchen utensils to prevent them from sticking.
