ᐅ The heat pump is installed – should painting, wallpapering, etc. be done afterward – yes or no?

Hey,

now that the heat pump has suddenly arrived, how did you manage with painting/wallpapering or whatever? You can’t just move it aside because of all the piping. Did you only work up to it or as far as you could behind it, or did you do that beforehand, or...? With the tiles, it will probably be difficult on two sides as well.

Put the battens all the way up to the edge and lay tiles around them. After all, it’s not a living room.

Our installer called us a week in advance to let us know it would be installed, so we could paint beforehand.

Our technical room is only primed for now; if I ever feel really motivated, I might paint it later.

So first of all, it’s not as bad as it seems.

Just paint around the edges with some white, and that should be fine. Basically, visitors don’t really go into the room, so it’s okay as it is.
