ᐅ Is it possible to replicate a garage door exactly like this? What material is it made of?

Salus_86For "wood," I would normally have recommended "Speckmann," but what you are showing does not seem suitable to me for cladding a garage door.

Hm... what is shown in my picture is a cladded garage door.
My question is twofold:
Where can I source the material for the cladding,
and secondly, regarding the cladding technique itself: most garage doors of this type are clad flush, but is it possible to install the cladding offset as shown in my example?

Traumfaenger15 Jul 2018 23:37It’s been a while since I last looked into this topic. But for the gate you showed (double garage), I think you should use an industrial door for the cladding. Just search for industrial doors.
Because the weight adds up quite a bit, and it also needs to work in winter with ice. I don’t have the suppliers handy anymore, but with a bit of research you should be able to find what you need.
In my opinion, that plastic stuff from a major German supplier won’t work here.

With air gaps as wide as a finger between the panels, I’m not sure if that would be allowed in Germany for doors. I mean, due to the risk of finger entrapment at the section joints.
