I have created two different floor plans, one square and one rectangular.

Rectangular:
What don’t I like? The long hallway on the ground floor. The children’s rooms could be a bit larger.
What do I like? The children’s rooms and bedroom face south
For this layout, I would prefer a gable roof, which would facilitate a possible attic conversion

Square:
What don’t I like? The children’s rooms do not face south
What do I like? The children’s rooms are quite spacious
For this layout, a hip roof or pyramid roof would probably be more suitable, but this is a disadvantage for attic conversion

Where is the staircase there?
Where are the dimensions there?

I have added the dimensions and drawn in the staircase. However, I am not sure if this is the best solution. I welcome any suggestions. It doesn’t have to be a straight staircase; it can also be a staircase with a landing or another design.

The staircase is far too small (what is that, 2.5m (8 feet 2 inches)?) – it just doesn’t work at all.
By dimensioning, I actually meant the dimensions of all the rooms.
