ᐅ Doors in my Kallax unit have been slamming even louder since summer – any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I have had a rather annoying problem with my Kallax shelf from IKEA since around summer 2015. The doors slam noticeably louder when closing than before, which is quite disturbing, especially in the evening. I already checked if any screws had come loose, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. The hinges are clean, but maybe the dampers there are faulty or have hardened? Has anyone had similar experiences and can offer advice on how to reduce the noise? I would prefer not to take everything apart, but rather look for a simple, long-lasting solution. Thanks in advance!

Are there specific dampers recommended for Kallax? Or can I use any type of noise damper?IKEA offers original spare parts for Kallax, often small plastic dampers that fit into the hinges. If you can’t find these or they don’t fit, universal door dampers or rubber bumpers are a practical alternative. When choosing universal dampers, pay attention to the installation method (riveting, screwing, gluing) and size to avoid interference. Sometimes a set of self-adhesive bumpers also helps, as they are quick to install afterwards and protect the surface. Important: Always adjust the hinges properly; otherwise, dampers will have little effect.
If it has only become louder since summer, it is possible that the doors have warped due to moisture or temperature fluctuations. Therefore, be sure to check whether the doors sit flush. You might consider adding small shims or felt pads to reduce the contact surface and thereby dampen the flapping noise.
