ᐅ Naming of Ikea Furniture

Do you have a favorite name among the IKEA furniture? I recently read that there is actually a system behind it—for example, all office furniture is given male names and so on—and that there are people who work exclusively on this. It must be a funny job 😀!

So, my favorite name is Malm or something similar.

I would like to know what this profession is called. Maybe IKEA furniture name designer! Ha ha

But what kind of system is behind it??? Why only male names? I would also find a shelf called "DÖRTE" cool!
