MizitI was about to upload two photos, but of course, they are too large again. *annoyed*
But maybe it’s possible to evaluate the situation without photos for now: Our garden is bordered at the top by an embankment because the house was built on a slope. The slope is 2.30 m high (7.5 feet). The slope is steep enough that you could climb up it without steps if necessary, but especially for the kids, that’s not really ideal.
We would like to install a slope slide in the embankment for playing, as well as build a small set of steps or a path into the slope to make it easier to get up.
We have a spade and a shovel, and we can probably get stones, slabs, etc., but otherwise, we don’t really know how to construct it so that it lasts. Does it make sense for amateurs to attempt something like this, or is it better to hire a (semi-)professional? Do you think this is a huge effort, or can it be done fairly inexpensively without being luxurious?
Next to the house, there is also a small plot measuring 3 m x 1.35 m (10 feet x 4.4 feet) that used to be a strawberry patch but is now completely overgrown. There were also two small trees here before, but their trunks had already been cut down by us when we bought the house. We would like to completely redo this area and replant it with lawn. We should probably start on this soon, right? Is there any chance of removing the trunks and preparing the soil well enough for new lawn without a small excavator or similar equipment?
