Hey,

maybe someone here can help me:

According to the construction specifications, a cold water tap and a surface-mounted drainage connection for the washing machine will be installed.

Here is my first question: Does anyone have a setup like this and could post a picture of the finished installation?

My plan is to extend this setup by adding a hot water connection. In the utility room, next to the washing machine, there will be a sink cabinet with a basin and another cabinet, all covered with a countertop. From my non-expert perspective, this should be relatively easy to install, right?

What price would you consider reasonable for this work?

Thanks for your feedback!

You never said that.

You could now complain that you didn’t authorize this and that the company acted without a contract. You could request a reversal, and there is legal advice available from others...

Or you accept it. The costs are not excessively high, just move on. In my opinion, it’s not worth the stress.

Tell him this, and add that you would have spent a maximum of 200€ (about 220 USD), otherwise you wouldn’t have accepted it. Either he admits it was his mistake and is glad to still get some money without many issues, or you agree on something around 250€ (about 275 USD). I can’t imagine he insists on his full price without offering a discount.

@danixf

Yes, 200€ would have been more like an upper limit...

What exactly is an inlet pipe in connection with a washbasin, and where is it installed?

Specifically:

Inlet pipe 1 1/4" x 200mm (8 inches) chrome-plated with hose fitting.

The gray pipe is the drain coming from the trap, right? Or is it the vertical pipe that goes from the basin drain into the trap?

Thank you!
