Hey,

maybe someone here can help me:

According to the construction specifications, a cold water tap and a surface-mounted drainage connection for the washing machine will be installed.

Here is my first question: Does anyone have a setup like this and could post a picture of the finished installation?

My plan is to extend this setup by adding a hot water connection. In the utility room, next to the washing machine, there will be a sink cabinet with a basin and another cabinet, all covered with a countertop. From my non-expert perspective, this should be relatively easy to install, right?

What price would you consider reasonable for this work?

Thanks for your feedback!

That looks very advanced already...
I thought you were still in the planning stage...

If all the walls and ceilings are already up, this is going to be an expensive undertaking...

(You should ask more specific questions. You’re asking about the cost of connections, washbasins, base cabinets, etc. Then you say you want to do almost everything yourself. Now we learn that the damage is already done.)

I’m out...

Yes, that won’t be cheap unless you arrange it directly with the plumber, who might do it for a low three-digit amount. A sink connection and a washing machine connection are clearly two very different services.

I never asked anywhere about the cost of a washbasin or the base cabinet. Okay, it could be interpreted that way. Cabinets are all handled by me. It was only about the technical implementation. That there is a hot water connection/angle valve available and instead of a standard cold water tap for the washing machine, also an angle valve. The drain would already be there because of the washing machine, so I don’t think anything else needs to be changed.

For this, the plumber now gave me a quote of a gross 300€ including the siphon and an inlet pipe (for whatever purpose?). It was already installed/attached last week. The plumber has finished his pipe installation. So visually, it is what the kitchen layout shows.

Then request the service and say the plumber wants 300 €.

And then the unanimous opinion will be:
Yes.
Before the work, it would have been half that amount; afterwards, 300 € is completely reasonable.

Well, then the situation is already beyond hope.

@Osnabruecker
I think you might not be understanding me right now, or we are talking past each other.

During the initial meeting, I brought up this request with the general contractor for plumbing. There was no offer provided, even after asking twice.
He completed the work last week but is now sending me a quote for something that has already been done.

As I understand it, the quote should be provided before the work is carried out so that any questions about the offer can be clarified, and the execution can be approved accordingly.

Is that clearer now?
