Hello everyone, I am currently looking into whether an Ikea Pax wardrobe system can truly be fully and perfectly equipped using only the original IKEA Komplement accessories. I’m not just interested in whether everything fits, but also whether the Komplement elements like drawers, shelves, rails, and clothes rails can actually cover all requirements without needing to rely on third-party products. Does anyone have practical experience with this – how feasible is it if you want larger or specific storage solutions or a highly customized interior organization? And how do the Komplement parts perform in terms of quality, stability, and usability? Thanks in advance for your insights!
Hey! I have the Pax system with Komplement accessories, and I can only say: with a bit of creativity, almost any problem can be solved! For larger items, I left some shelves out and used the space that way. Sometimes I also use large fabric storage bins from Ikea, which fit perfectly. The accessories are flexible – if you want, you can rearrange holders or adjust other elements. The important thing is to plan everything in advance and, if necessary, leave out some accessories to create more space. It worked out great for me!

Sometimes I also use large textile bins from Ikea, which fit perfectly. 😊Exactly! That’s the key. Complement the basics with a few cool bins or baskets here and there to easily add some style. This keeps everything lively and user-friendly – and helps avoid an overload of unnecessary clutter. 😉
Thanks to everyone for the detailed tips and assessments. To summarize: Komplement provides a very good basic framework for standard organization in the PAX system, is qualitatively robust, and fits precisely. For particularly large, bulky, or specialized storage needs, it is advisable to either leave some areas open, add external containers, or plan custom solutions if necessary. The combination of Komplement with smart boxes or bins appears to be best practice. I will take this into account in my planning accordingly. If anyone has further tips for planning or practical experience with installation, I would of course appreciate continuing the exchange!
Good summary! For installation: Pay special attention to anchoring to the wall, especially with fully equipped PAX wardrobes, as stability is crucial. Komplement is sturdy, but the weight increases quickly. Good planning prevents issues and later modifications. And don’t forget to follow the included assembly instructions carefully – they are usually very helpful!
