We are currently selecting the finishes for our house and would generally like dark windows both inside and outside, ideally deep black RAL9005. Based on posts here in the forum, including from 11ant, we have now chosen aluminum windows with the MB-86N SI profile from Aluprof (through Eko Okna). PVC windows with an aluminum cladding would mean a film finish on the inside, and we feel that might be less durable. The additional cost compared to PVC-aluminum windows with the dealer we found is acceptable (about €10,000).

Nevertheless, we are still considering whether the color will hold up well in the long term. It is a powder coating, which we understand will fade over time. What is usually done in that case? We are also unsure about sun exposure and heat, and whether the aluminum windows might warp over time or become extremely hot (since the inside is not all aluminum due to insulation). Could they potentially crack, or is that mainly a concern with wood-aluminum windows? Would it help much to choose a slightly lighter color (RAL7016, which is the "standard") and maybe only have the inside in RAL9005? Perhaps someone here has experience with this?

Perhaps the DB703 could also be an option because it is supposedly "long-term stable" due to the iron mica?

Still, we are wondering if the color will really work well in the long term.
If you don’t place the house in a cleanroom greenhouse but in normal ambient air, I strongly advise against deep black. Even customers with black cars and black pianos ordering aluminum windows from us never chose anything darker than bitter chocolate brown, and pozziblau (grey blue) wouldn’t suit everyone anyway. PVC with aluminum cladding is like cheap champagne; then better go for a good sparkling wine. We can’t assess the extra cost because we don’t know your house yet. Why don’t you introduce it here? If you find my post “Barrier-free Window Doors Thanks to Low Thresholds,” I can gladly share my individual input.

Regardless of coating details, every one of our windows still looked factory-new after more than forty years.

There was no cracking or warping either, even in midsummer. 7016 is the new beige; not only would I never choose it, but also the contrast from deep black to that is huge—not so much because of the color tone, but because of its downright dull ordinary nature. With aluminum, you can easily coat the interior differently from the exterior or even wrap it in realistic wood-look foil. The price range is wide open upward. And no, the profile is aluminum on the inside as well; the insulation is roughly in the glass pane area.

By the way: if you want to be a trendsetting avant-garde, just choose folding or double-leaf windows instead of lift-and-slide (which will soon go out of fashion).

DB703 – on aluminum – I chose it and think it’s sensational!!! Thanks again to the great field representative – without them, I would never have discovered this color...
I applied it only on the exterior, white on the inside...
