Hello,

At the moment, the transition between the basement stairs and the tile flooring looks like this. In other words, the joint is completely irregular and ends up being far too wide. I want to reject the handover here. But what could be a possible solution?

Thanks and best regards,
S.

I would also consider that a flaw. The only solution is a cover strip or silicone sealant.

Who is likely responsible for the error? The staircase builder, because the (entire) staircase was installed slightly crooked? Or are the tiles misaligned?
Are there two different contractors involved, or just one?

Where is the problem? Just install a stainless steel strip (brushed) and that’s it.

The staircase and tiling work are both included in the house construction contract, so there is only one point of contact.
