Hey,
I’m currently assembling the Metod kitchen and wanted to ask how you fixed the rails. What screw size did you use? I have the problem that the tiles start exactly at 82cm (32 inches) and I don’t want to damage everything.
I can maybe just fit a 5mm (0.2 inch) screw into the joints, but I’m not sure if that’s enough. In the end, the cabinets stand directly on the floor :/

IKEA-Experte11 Jun 2014 12:31Hello, just hook it in, insert the locking piece, and you're done.
Since the cabinets stand on 4 legs, the rail on the base cabinets serves only as an assembly aid and as a safety measure to prevent the cabinets from tipping over if someone pulls out all the drawers at once. Therefore, 5 mm (0.2 inches) holes are sufficient, especially if they are installed every 30 cm (12 inches) as specified.

But the kitchen would have to be very deep for these holes to be visible to future tenants...
