I am currently planning a new wardrobe and have been considering the Ikea PAX series. My question is: Are there specific Ikea PAX models that come with an integrated lighting system? I want to avoid having to install additional external light sources or strips and would find it very convenient if the lighting were already built in from the factory.

Perhaps someone here is familiar with different PAX variants or special editions, or knows if Ikea now offers complete solutions with lighting included. It would also be interesting to learn what type of lighting is used in such models—LED, halogen, or another technology—if they exist.

That is correct; I personally ordered a PAX wardrobe some time ago and paid close attention to the lighting options. Ikea follows a modular approach with PAX — allowing each customer to configure the wardrobe according to their individual needs.

What I can add is that Ikea offers several lighting systems designed specifically for PAX. For example, there is the "Omlopp" LED light, which can be easily clipped in. While these are not permanently integrated, they look very professional due to their precise fit.

Finally, a tip: If you are somewhat handy, these lighting components can be installed very discreetly. This creates an effect almost like a fully integrated solution.
