Are there Ikea PLATSA options with special doors?
Hello everyone, I am currently planning to buy the PLATSA storage system from Ikea and was wondering if, besides the standard doors (like classic hinged doors and sliding doors), there are any special variations available that feature unique materials, designs, or perhaps door types that are not immediately obvious.
I already know about the usual options in matte or gloss finishes and some wood-look versions, but I want to find out if PLATSA offers more unusual door solutions – such as doors with glass, mirrored doors, or maybe doors with integrated handles or other special features that make the system stand out.
Are there also doors that are custom-made or not directly advertised by Ikea? I look forward to your experiences or information if you know anything. Thanks!

When planning, it is also important to consider the compatibility of door types with the respective carcass depths and unit heights specified by Ikea.
If you want luxury or unusual materials, modifications or third-party suppliers are recommended, but be sure to pay attention to custom dimensions and functionality.
Overall, it can be said that Ikea already offers a good range of more specialized doors for PLATSA, which, however, clearly remain within the range of standardized IKEA products.
