Hello everyone, I would like to start a discussion about assembly issues with Ikea Hemnes furniture. I often hear that while the Hemnes series is appealing in terms of design, the assembly can be quite frustrating, especially regarding the instructions, the accuracy of the parts fitting together, and the stability once assembled.

So my main question is: Are there reliable and practical alternatives to Ikea Hemnes that have fewer assembly problems? It’s important to me that the furniture is priced within a similar range and that the design is at least somewhat comparable—that is, more of a Scandinavian-modern wood style.

Perhaps someone in the community has experience with other manufacturers or series that are noticeably easier to assemble or even of higher quality? I look forward to thoughtful opinions and recommendations!

At first, I was quite proud of my first Hemnes furniture, but as has been mentioned here several times, the assembly is not easy.

Especially the drill holes sometimes didn’t line up precisely, and the instructions were occasionally quite unclear.

That sums it up perfectly. My advice: If you prefer furniture that can be assembled quickly and without stress, I recommend either hiring a carpenter service or specifically looking for high-quality complete sets from furniture brands that pay close attention to manufacturing tolerances from the start.

I hope you find a good compromise, as the assembly process really became the biggest frustration for me. Thanks to everyone who shares constructive options here!
