Hey,
I want to ask if anyone else has a similar setup or would do it this way:
There is a niche in the storage room where the washer-dryer is located. The niche is about 160 cm (63 inches) wide. The idea is to attach wooden battens along the left, back, and right walls across the 160 cm (63 inches) width and place a worktop on them with the washer-dryer underneath. Possibly on the right side, install a built-in sink or a single basin. This way, you can fill a bucket with water from there without having to go through the house to the kitchen. A wall-mounted faucet could be installed as well. The wall is an 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) interior wall, with the guest toilet on the other side. Alternatively, use angle valves and the faucet for the basin.
I wouldn’t want to just mount a white enamel basin with a rubber edge there...
Maybe some of you have pictures of your own setup?
Thanks!

We also have the white sink. Washing machine and dryer next to it. The washing machine drains and fills through the valve beneath the utility sink. The white sink has huge advantages. It provides splash protection. It is large and deep enough to fit a 10-liter (2.6-gallon) bucket. It is very durable. I clean bronze boat propellers in it, rinse muddy shoes, clean brushes, and so on. We would never give up this convenience.
The idea of having a countertop with a sink built in is certainly practical. However, kbt’s plan with the tiny sink seems like a trifle from the perspective of rural household needs.
