pojames485 Nov 2020 08:17Good morning everyone, I recently used the Billy shelving system from IKEA in my living room and find it very flexible. Now I am considering how to use Billy in the bathroom as well. This raises the question: How can I adapt or protect the Billy shelves to withstand the higher humidity and occasional water splashes in the bathroom without damaging the furniture? What practical tips are there for installation, surface treatment, or accessories to make Billy not only functional but also durable in a bathroom environment? I look forward to your creative and proven solutions, including advice on moisture resistance, additional protective measures, and alternative mounting options. Thanks in advance!

use waterproof membrane or transparent varnishes That sounds interesting. Can you recommend a specific varnish brand, or what exactly should I look for when choosing one? Is it better to treat the entire shelf or only certain areas that tend to get more damp?
