ᐅ What to do about sliding doors on a PAX wardrobe that are hanging unevenly?

Hello everyone, I have a problem with one of the sliding doors on my Pax wardrobe: it seems to be hanging crooked and no longer closes properly. The door no longer slides smoothly along the track and sometimes gets stuck. I have already checked if the rollers have shifted, but I am unsure how to precisely adjust the doors so they run parallel and close cleanly again. Do you have any experience with correcting crooked sliding doors on Pax wardrobes? Are there any tricks on which screws to loosen or adjust without having to completely remove the door? I look forward to your tips!

For precise adjustment of misaligned PAX sliding doors, I recommend the following steps: - Remove the door for easier handling. - Check the upper rollers and, if necessary, adjust the height using a screwdriver. - At the bottom, there are guide rollers; these should move freely and not be jammed. - Tighten all screws and, if needed, apply a light lubricant to reduce friction. - Then reinstall the door and check its function.
That sounds very logical and thorough, thank you! Have any of you experienced whether the plastic rollers become brittle over time and may need to be replaced? Or is that rather uncommon?

Plastic rollers on the Pax can become brittle after several years, especially if they are subjected to heavy use or dirt. Replacement is possible and often helpful if the roller wheel sticks or runs unevenly. However, in most cases, readjusting and lubricating is sufficient.

Perfect, thanks! Do you have any tips on the best places to get replacement rollers? IKEA directly or recommended third-party suppliers?

I ordered my replacement rollers directly from IKEA, which was straightforward. The original rollers fit best, especially because of their compatibility with the tracks. You can try third-party options, but they rarely fit perfectly.

Can you tell if the rollers can only be adjusted at the top, or do the bottom rollers also affect the alignment? I have the feeling that the door is partially crooked at the bottom.

The alignment mainly concerns the top rollers, which you can adjust. The bottom rollers primarily serve as guides, and adjustment is usually not possible there. However, be sure to check that the bottom guides are clear and not blocked by dirt or debris that could restrict movement.
