Hello everyone, I recently purchased the Ikea Brimnes bedroom furniture set and am specifically wondering: How long is the warranty on Ikea Brimnes furniture? I would like to know if there is a uniform warranty period that applies to all Brimnes pieces (such as the bed, dresser, wardrobes), or if the warranty length varies depending on the item. Additionally, I am interested in what exactly the warranty covers and if there is anything special I need to keep in mind to make a claim. Thanks in advance for your tips and experiences!

The warranty for Ikea Brimnes furniture in Germany is usually 10 years. This applies to most of the larger pieces in the series. It is important to keep the receipt.

Regarding your question about the warranty on Ikea Brimnes furniture: here is a brief overview and what you should watch out for.

- Warranty period: Ikea offers a 10-year warranty on many furniture items in Germany, including Brimnes.
- Validity: The purchase must be made at an Ikea store or online shop, with a valid proof of purchase.
- Coverage: The warranty primarily covers material and manufacturing defects, not normal wear and tear or improper use.
- Claim process: It is best to contact customer service and submit a claim with proof of purchase.

Typical issues not covered include damage from moisture or incorrect assembly. Therefore, always follow the assembly instructions carefully.

I understand that the warranty for furniture like Brimnes is an important issue. I also had doubts about whether it really lasts that long, but after I made a claim for my wardrobe once, everything was straightforward. The 10-year warranty does seem to be valid, but you should never forget that proper care and maintenance are also important. I hope you are lucky with it too and can enjoy your furniture for a long time!

Thanks for the quick information! Do you or anyone else happen to know if the warranty still applies if parts of the furniture were damaged during assembly, for example screws or small wooden pieces? Or is that excluded?

Good question – usually, damage caused during assembly due to improper handling is excluded from the warranty. The warranty typically covers only material and manufacturing defects.

If parts are defective or missing right from the start due to damage during delivery, you can easily claim them. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact customer service; they usually provide helpful assistance.
