Hello everyone, my wife would like a footrest to make it easier to shave her legs.
Who has a built-in solution and would like to share it? Or an alternative solution? So far, I have also seen supports for corners at the major online stores. Does anyone have a recommendation for a specific product?

Correct, I asked about the shower. A bathtub edge would be impractical since the shower is not used inside the bathtub.Yes, but also looking for a simple solution. And this would be it.M

HeimatBauer24 Aug 2023 07:56In the bathroom, we have a built-in shower wall with a shampoo niche. We seriously considered adding a second niche at the bottom for shaving, like in the picture. I wouldn’t want to miss the existing niche.
If I were to build again, I would include a slightly sloped (just enough for water to drain) seating area. At the right height, it can be used both as a footrest and as a seat for "showering together" or any other positions you might think of. A sturdy grab bar in the shower isn’t just for seniors; even young couples sometimes appreciate having something stable to hold onto while showering.

We will proceed with it this way. This option saves the most space and allows us to use the “accent tile” from the shampoo area again. Thanks for your input.

Too bad my wife’s shower water temperature differs greatly from mine. Otherwise... made my day! 😎If the shower is large enough, you can install two separate shower heads with individual controls. I’ve seen that done as well. Then each person can set their own temperature 😉
