Why Is the Design the Way It Is? For example:
The house is located directly on the street. Distance to the neighbors on both sides is 3 meters (10 feet), so no possibility to adjust the width.
The entrance is on the side. Since the house faces the street, the living room, dining area, and kitchen are planned on the north side, facing the garden. All other rooms face the street side. Knee wall is 1.80 m (6 feet), roof pitch 30 degrees. Bedrooms and bathroom also face the garden side.
The pantry is currently hidden but we are considering integrating it into the technical room. Underfloor heating with heat pump. Photovoltaic system is also installed (west side).

Okay, we just took a look at the development plan. You’re right, the garage has to be set back 5 meters (16 feet).

That’s why it’s important to get familiar with the topic yourself!

I also did some work myself.

What kind of heating system is planned exactly?

@hanse987 .. what house width are you planning there .. it still looks like it was drawn by the architect. With a house width of just over 10m (33 feet), there are about 3m (10 feet) left on both the right and left sides.

Thank you very much for all the messages!
I was browsing the portal. Attached are the dimensions.
The building boundary is marked in blue in the other image. The development plan is called CITY OF LORSCH DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. 63 "BETWEEN SIEGFRIED AND HEINRICH STREET". You will probably be able to help me more than the architect.
A roof pitch of 30 degrees is not mandatory; originally, it was 25 degrees. However, we wanted a slightly larger attic, so we went with 30 degrees.

I also did some work on it.

Thanks. I'll take a look at it with my husband right away.
