Hello everyone, maybe someone can help here.

We own an infrared cabin made of hemlock wood, or rather, the wall panels are made from it.

I want to mount a bathroom radiator weighing about 4-5 kg (9-11 lbs) on one of these wall panels.

Right now, I’m quite unsure because the wood feels so light—almost like plywood...

Has anyone worked with this type of wood before or can offer some advice? I really don’t want to damage the beautiful infrared cabin...

Unfortunately, there’s no space for the radiator on the other walls.

Wooden door with horizontal wood slats, metal fasteners, and wood frame.

We also have a cabin like that. Recently, I screwed an hourglass inside. Although it is light, the screws held well in the wood. I could have hung something heavier there as well.

Did you pre-drill the holes for the screws to prevent the wood from splitting, or did you screw them in directly without pre-drilling?

I screwed in directly. There was no splitting.
