I am looking for recommendations on good overshoes for our tradespeople to wear after the flooring has been installed, while they still need to move around the house. One factor is that the area around our house is still sandy, rocky, and covered with gravel, and the landscaping is not yet completed.

Thank you for any advice!

Painter’s fleece can be reused for many years. It’s worth the investment and is a more convenient solution for everyone.

Ours only had to be disposed of after 2 moves and 3 years of additional use (covering, padding, protection).

But that’s not a 25m (82 feet) roll for 19.99 from the hardware store, right?

I’ve been thinking about what else I can do for the sandy driveway area. The problem is that the workers have to walk right through the muddy zone every time they go to their cars because the driveway is still basically just a rubble area...

We bought it at the hardware store, but not the cheapest quality. There were different quality levels available, and we chose a medium to high grade. The money spent has paid off two to three times over.

We had old large carpets placed in front of the house for exactly this reason. Of course, they do get dirty, but you can beat the dust out of them or even vacuum them.

There are countless options:
- collected pallets from the construction phase (possibly covered with carpet – doesn’t matter if it gets wet, it will soon be discarded anyway)
- inexpensive artificial turf
- old carpet (carpet remnants from the hardware store)
- formwork boards
and so on.

And what do you do when it’s pouring rain?

Then they get wet and dry again ;-)
Better than having sand inside the house.
