I am looking for recommendations on good overshoes for our tradespeople to wear after the flooring has been installed, while they still need to move around the house. One factor is that the area around our house is still sandy, rocky, and covered with gravel, and the landscaping is not yet completed.

Thank you for any advice!

Many tradespeople are required to wear safety shoes.
I have also laid down fleece everywhere 😉

Fleece!
I already thought: it looks kind of strange somehow *laugh*

Safety shoes, but not during interior work? To be honest, I never really thought about it because they usually took their shoes off. For us, the technical room is accessible through the basement, and the other tasks really weren’t that hazardous for feet.
The carpenter who installed our kitchen wore his shoes, but he wiped them thoroughly on the entrance mat, so it wasn’t an issue.

Well, which tradesperson working on interior construction doesn’t need shoes?
I can’t think of any, except maybe the one installing the carpet 😉

We covered the floor with painter’s fleece and also protected the walkways with cardboard. Still, there were a few scratches here and there. Well, we sanded them down afterwards. And: it’s not a floor you get for free, so it’s allowed to “live” a bit. :-)

The walkways were covered at our site. The kitchen installer fully covered their work area. Where there was no covering, the craftsmen either took off their shoes or wore overshoes (which I believe were provided by the general contractor).

Painter’s fleece can be used for many years. It is a worthwhile investment and offers a more convenient solution for everyone.

Ours only had to be disposed of after 2 moves and 3 years of continued use (covering, laying underneath, protection).
