Hello,

I am new to the forum and would like to greet everyone.

We are currently having a semi-detached house built and are unsure about the wall covering. We were recommended paintable fleece wallpaper.

I have a question regarding its durability: How many times can paintable fleece wallpaper be painted over? Is it the same as with textured wallpaper?

Also, does paintable fleece wallpaper eventually become as easy to remove from the wall as standard non-woven wallpaper? What quantity would be needed for each option?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Markus

I know I have already read it.

However, the following questions of mine were not answered there:

How many times can you repaint paintable fleece wallpaper?
Is paintable fleece wallpaper applied with paste like regular non-woven wallpaper?

You can repaint it much more often than woodchip wallpaper, and it is glued with fabric adhesive rather than paste... we have it throughout the whole house, and it still looks great.

Painter’s fleece can be repainted any number of times. How often do you usually paint your walls that you are worried about this?

Painter’s fleece is applied using standard fleece adhesives but, unlike wallpaper, it is often pasted using a pasting machine. It does not require soaking time either.

Non-woven wallpaper adhesive or fabric glue?

I would definitely prefer non-woven wallpaper adhesive because the painter's fleece would then come off more easily at some point...

Regarding removal: prime properly first, then it will be easier to remove later.
Our painting fleece was also adhered with non-woven wallpaper adhesive.
