Does anyone have experience with the Meister Lindura wooden flooring, the newer HD 400 generation? Would you recommend this floor, or would you advise against it?
We are considering installing this flooring in our new build.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

pagoni202030 Jun 2020 22:28We had the same idea a year ago, back then with the previous model. There are great widths available, but I couldn’t find much information anywhere.
A friend of mine works at a sawmill, and he is enthusiastic and hasn’t heard any negative feedback.
Now, with our new house, we will face the same question again, this time with the HD400 model. Meister is a solid company, and I can’t imagine it being low quality. What little information I found mentioned that the floor is very durable, but on the other hand, they explicitly recommend using furniture pads under chairs... which is something you should do anyway, to protect any floor.
We decided on Meister, but for parquet, I believe the 2nd grade version called ..200. We have 160 sqm (1722 sq ft) of it here, and I could use the same again. For me, it’s effectively 1st grade, technically solid and visually almost no waste. The price was €25 (about $27) gross!
We installed it as a floating floor over underfloor heating and I will do that again. It creaks only in a few spots occasionally, but in the worst case, I can replace individual planks.
So for me, it’s an option, especially the 2nd grade for such large areas. I wouldn’t have any concerns about quality; it looks great anyway.

I strongly advise against the Lindura flooring! We had 250 square meters (2,700 square feet) installed in our house, and after just one year, the floor looks terrible. The top layer is peeling, there are countless scratches, and some knots have even broken out. From the beginning, we followed the recommended care instructions and oils, took off our shoes immediately in the hallway, and yet the floor appears extremely worn and aged.
The inspector from the Meister company was rude and, among other things, claimed in a letter that we had not used a doormat, even though there were two mats in the hallway when he came for the appointment. He also suggested that our 14-year-old son caused the broken out knots with force, and so on! We are very dissatisfied and upset and are considering legal action. The advertising claims do not match reality at all! We regret not choosing hardwood flooring. In my husband’s practice, there is a 90-year-old hardwood floor (protected as a listed building), which still looks great even though about 100 people walk over it daily! Our Lindura floor looks absolutely awful in comparison!
I cannot recommend this floor at all. We were especially sold on its durability, which is completely lacking. I can only warn everyone against this flooring!!!!

In contrast, our Lindura floor simply looks awful!!!! Absolutely no recommendation to buy. We were especially told about the floor’s durability, which is absolutely not true. I can only warn everyone against this flooring!!!!That really sounds awful, especially after only one year. Do you happen to have any pictures you’d be willing to share? So far, every specialist dealer has only given me positive feedback about this flooring. But a report like yours certainly makes you think... Thanks very much for sharing your experience.
