Hello everyone,
Does anyone have experience with the Meister Lindura wooden flooring, the newer HD 400 generation? Would you recommend this floor, or would you advise against it?
We are considering installing this flooring in our new build.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

It doesn’t matter what the manufacturer says; your point of contact is the seller, not the manufacturer.
The seller is responsible for fixing the defect, not the manufacturer. Thanks again for the advice. We will now contact the seller about this.A
AllThumbs2 Oct 2021 11:21Has anyone gained experience with Lindura flooring yet?
We also visited a specialized retailer yesterday and, compared to the issues we have with parquet and luxury vinyl/plank flooring, the properties of Lindura seemed almost perfect.
The floor will only be installed on the upper floor – so bedrooms, children’s rooms, office, and the landing.

We had the same idea about a year ago, back then it was the previous model. There are great plank widths, but I couldn't find much information anywhere. A friend of mine works in a sawmill and he is enthusiastic and has not heard any negative feedback.
Now, for the new house, we are asking the same question again, this time about the HD400 model. Meister is a well-regarded company, and I can’t imagine it being poor quality. What I read stated that the floor is very durable; on the other hand, it explicitly says to use furniture pads under chairs... well, you would do that anyway, otherwise any floor gets ruined.
We eventually chose Meister, but for parquet... I think the 200 model in second grade. We have about 160 sqm (1700 sq ft) of that installed here, and I could choose the same again. To me, it looks like first grade, technically and visually there is almost no waste. The price was €25 (about $27) gross.
We installed it as a floating floor over underfloor heating and I would do it the same way again. It only creaks occasionally in a few spots, and in the worst case, I can replace a plank. So, it works for me, but then in second grade for such a large area. Regarding quality, I have no doubts; it looks great anyway. This floor is absolutely terrible. It was marketed to us as a very durable solid wood floor, but the opposite is true. Every small water drop that you don’t wipe off immediately soaks into the floor and leaves a permanent mark. We were shocked when we moved a flowerpot and the floor underneath was black. Please do not buy this floor; it is not recommended at all and only causes problems.

At the time, I specifically chose real hardwood flooring over Lindura for exactly these reasons. If you want natural, then do it properly. Lindura, being a hybrid product, is in my opinion the wrong choice here since it is less durable than regular laminate or luxury vinyl flooring, and at the same time cannot be repaired or sanded like solid wood or parquet.
We are very satisfied with our newly installed Meister oak parquet. Of course, it won’t remain flawless after just four weeks like laminate might (showing scratches, marks, etc.), but it is a pure pleasure to see and feel the natural warmth and grain of the wood. Even the children often comment on it positively. If needed, any damage can be repaired.

clemensshr7 Jan 2022 16:32I can only say that I have had really good experiences with the Lindura wooden floor HD400. I was initially concerned that it might have some teething problems like the previous model, but I was proven wrong. It is very durable and not sensitive at all. I am extremely satisfied.
