We have two exterior doors leading into the garage and would like to open them keylessly so we don’t always have to carry the key while in the garden, etc. The garage has no access to the house, so security is important but not the main concern. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can achieve this as cost-effectively as possible? Are there any affordable keypad or fingerprint systems?

Installing a keypad lock on one door and leaving the key in the lock on the inside of the other door.
I can’t think of a cheaper solution right now... apart from the good old key hideout ;-)The house is newly built, so we have free rein to experiment. I just don’t want to spend 5000€ on access electronics for these two doors. Otherwise, the sky’s the limit... 😉

I’m planning the same and looked at the Visortech keypad lock for around 70 euros. What do you think? Or maybe Nuki...Nuki works via Bluetooth, right? I don’t want that either, since I don’t always carry my phone when I just want to go into the garage briefly. I’ve also seen the Visortech, but it looks a bit flimsy...

100€ for an electric door opener, a different strike plate, and a door handle on the outside of the door. How is the security aspect with an electric door opener? If a break-in occurs, the insurance probably won’t cover it, right?
