ᐅ Keyless Entry for the Garage Door

Hello everyone,

We have two exterior doors leading into the garage and would like to open them keylessly so we don’t always have to carry the key while in the garden, etc. The garage has no access to the house, so security is important but not the main concern. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can achieve this as cost-effectively as possible? Are there any affordable keypad or fingerprint systems?

Retrofit a keypad lock on one door and leave the key in the lock on the other side.
I can't think of a cheaper solution right now... apart from the good old key hideout ;-)

I am planning the same and have looked at the Visortech electronic code lock for around 70 euros. What do you think about it? Or maybe Nuki...

The house is newly built, so we have free rein to experiment. I just don’t want to spend 5000€ on access electronics for these two doors. Otherwise, the sky’s the limit... 😉

Nuki works via Bluetooth, right? I don’t want that either, since I don’t always carry my phone when I just want to go into the garage briefly. I’ve also seen the Visortech, but it looks a bit flimsy...

Search for Gelikom from a major supplier with Prime service. Great product, I've been using it for years. It costs around 70€ plus about 100€ for an electric striker plate, a different strike plate, and an exterior door handle.

How is the security aspect with an electric door opener? If a break-in occurs, the insurance probably won’t cover it, right?
