Hello

Due to an unfavorable situation with a green space, we only have a 4m (13 feet) wide driveway to the garage on the east side of the house. The rest of the house would fit perfectly with this arrangement. If we place the house on the west side, we would have enough driveway width, but unfortunately the house would have to be redesigned.

Now we are considering what to do.

Is a 4m (13 feet) wide driveway enough for access to the garage?

Thank you for your opinions.

I will try to draw it again tomorrow. Thanks for the responses so far.

It is a straight road, and I need to turn left.

Best regards and good night

Also include the immediately adjacent situation outside the property! (So far, I haven’t understood the problem. A width of 4 m (13 feet) is more than the garage itself offers, so it should be absolutely sufficient as an access driveway.

No, if your car is wider – for a straight driveway, the width of the standard garage is sufficient.

Our driveway to the property is only 4.50m (15 feet) wide. We are planning to create a turning area on the property so my wife can easily drive in and out of the garage.

I don’t understand the problem. The width is fine.

Hello,

I also believe that a width of 4 m (13 feet) is absolutely sufficient.

Where it might get tight, depending on the vehicle model, is when the doors on both sides are fully opened – especially with coupes that have longer doors, you can quickly reach your limits...
