Hello everyone,

I am currently building a double carport and want to include a side entrance door on the side wall.

Either a simple wooden or plastic side entrance door, which can be found at the local hardware store for 100-130 euros.

Is it basically the same whether the door opens inward or outward? Or do such doors have components like seals or fittings that should not face outward and be exposed to the weather?

It does not matter.

Hello illo

A side entrance door (that is, a door leading into the house) for 100-130 euros?!
You are making it very easy for the "property converters."

Man...read first, then think. The side entrance door is meant for a carport, a CARPORT...who would break into the carport through the side entrance door in the wall leading to the garden (and that’s its only purpose: to go from the carport into the garden or vice versa) when the carport is open at the front???

That couldn’t have been answered any better, Steven!

I mean, at first reading I also thought: Carport with a door on the side wall? Huh? Does it have a storage room inside the carport, or is it a door from the house into the carport? A "side entrance," since the "main entrance" would be the front door, which would make sense. But a €100 door on the house?

The note about the DIY store doors: as if it didn’t say “opens inward/outward” on them. Or are they now planning to install a door that opens inward as if it opened outward, or what exactly is the question here?
