Hello everyone,
we are in the process of building a single-family house with a basement suitable for living. This is the design we have come up with. I would like to hear from you if you see any possibilities for improvements.
On the ground floor, there is a side entrance door on the right. The carport will be located there.
In the basement living area, the children's rooms face south. From there, it should be possible to access the terrace and the garden.

I took the time back then to list and compare all items from the different suppliers in an Excel spreadsheet. For example, if a multi-utility house entry was missing in one quote, Admittedly, to put it bluntly: if the Earth were flat, I would consider Excel to be a sufficiently precise tool.
(I have been doing "tendering" for almost 28 years now—though not for houses)

(I have been preparing "tenders" for almost 28 years now – although not for houses) A list or comparison of certain values and specifications has helped me keep track of the many options. This gave me a rough direction and allowed me to better negotiate missing services or specifications.
But everyone does it differently!

What about the floor plan? Everything is dragging on... but since yesterday I have news! The architect has now decided on the two-story option, as otherwise we wouldn’t be able to accommodate all the rooms in a sensible way.
Attached is the current status with a request for opinions and/or suggestions for improvement.
