I am curious to know which ceiling height you chose and why.

If applicable, also from the basement if you built one.

Is soundproofing less effective with blunt impact? Why is that?

Standard doors, so probably about 2.10 meters (6 ft 11 in) high. Width 1 meter (3 ft 3 in). To allow for a walker or similar aid if needed.

Because they lack a rebate. The doors are simply flush inside the frame. You can already notice it, I think... well... you hear it.

Because there is a gap all around, whereas standard doors have a rebate (door stop) all around. That makes a difference; we tested it back then. Also, light can pass through flush doors. So, basically, they only have disadvantages..

Other than that, in my opinion, they look better. Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, they do look good, but only from one side—and unfortunately, that’s the wrong side. That is, the side the door opens toward. Which door opens into the hallway so you could see this “best side” there?

But I guess it’s a matter of personal taste. Additional cost is about 60% more than a standard door.
