Hello,

I am currently planning the foundation for a garden house, but there are so many different options: strip foundation, slab foundation, and so on.

The garden house will be a Karibu Eco Limburg 5.

Which is the most affordable (suitable) foundation for this type of garden house?

Dig a trench, fill it with gravel, then put stones on top or battens for ventilation, and then place the garden shed on it. You don’t necessarily need a concrete foundation.

Yeah, we used slabs.

I would first recommend checking the development plan to see if a foundation for a garden shed is allowed, as it is not permitted in our area...

Good morning,
I installed kerb stones as a type of strip foundation and then placed a similar garden shed on top. Minimal effort and it stands perfectly. For the flooring, I laid exposed aggregate concrete slabs on a gravel base layer.

Best regards

Or pad footings can be placed at the four corners, on which the load is then supported by battens or metal braces. But since it is just a garden shed, if the ground is prepared with gravel and properly compacted, I think that works very well, as mentioned above.

I just searched for "foundation for garden shed." There is a lot of information available. Three videos from Bauhaus about different foundation types (concrete, slabs) are also suggested directly.
