I built my garden shed myself.
In terms of price, it probably isn’t much different from ready-made houses, but I didn’t find the quality of ready-made houses to be adequate for the prices.

I believe a major factor is your own skill and, just as important, TIME. Depending on how much time you have, you can choose from a cheap kit with untreated wood to a (more expensive) kit with thicker wood that is pre-primed and lacquered, available in almost any size.
After building a large climbing frame last year (3 towers, bridges…) with countless hours of priming and lacquering and kilograms of screws, I treated myself this year to having a wooden garden shed professionally installed by a specialist company, all inclusive.
