Hello everyone,

we need to choose an internet plan from Telekom by Tuesday.
Which option is sufficient for young people? Magenta M?

What did you choose? Or did you go with a completely different provider?
We are in a new development area. Telekom is offering a construction bonus of 400 euros.

Thanks for your answers.

What exactly is the builder’s bonus? Is it available nationwide in Germany?

When we built our house back in 2009, there was nothing like that... Other providers couldn’t do anything with our address for more than 4 years. Telekom knows how to share data so that customers stay loyal... and we only have a simple copper cable.

You don’t have to do anything with Telekom! We also received the bonus and are with Alice- o2.de

He mentions a new development area, so it is likely a fiber optic connection. Therefore, he will probably have to choose a Telekom plan, regardless of any bonuses.

We have the Magenta S plan, and honestly, nobody really needs more :P.

Especially since it’s already expensive enough, but in a couple of years, we’ll see...

For the bonus, see World-e.
Was this/are these possibly still valid?
Regarding the contract: the basic offer included fiber optic. Less was not an option.
Nordlys doesn’t need more than that. (smile)

Telekom is clever. In some areas, you have to have the connection installed through Telekom (in our case fiber optic plus copper), and then sign a contract. If you don’t sign a contract, you won’t receive a bonus and may be tied up for a long time. We had the fiber optic plus copper connection installed together with NetzeBW and signed a Telekom contract for a 100 Mbps plan. The charges incurred are deducted from the credit balance until it runs out, then you start paying. Eventually, months later, you receive the invoice for the connection (€600). After a maximum of 2 years, you are free from the contract.

PS: Along with a mobile phone contract, Telekom offers good deals again. And with Telekom, it works. I know many, especially in business environments, who pay less but constantly have service interruptions. That’s at least my impression... (I was previously with unitymedia :-( )

We live here in the vast plains of the North German Lowlands, where the land gradually slopes down toward the sea and eventually stops being land. Since the population in this area is quite small, there are only two real telephone providers: Vodafone via Kabel Deutschland and Telekom. Both work well. Their prices are very similar. The advantage of Telekom is at least a reachable, basic customer service. Karsten
