Hello, we are planning to build this year.

We already know exactly what we want.
An L-shaped bungalow with a pitched roof and open ceilings in the living and dining area.

While looking for inspiration, I wanted to ask if anyone here has built something like this?

If so, I would really appreciate photos and feedback.
(Please also include photos of the rooms with the open ceilings.)

Thank you.

Yes, but it’s not finished yet.

The picture is already somewhat older.

Attic with green URSA insulation, red straps, metal beams, and white built-in wardrobe.

Interior with open ceiling, insulation panels, scaffolding, and ladder – construction work.

Renovation room with unfinished block walls, window and door frames, insulation material, and cable reels.

Construction room in shell condition: scaffolding on the left, unfinished walls, stone arch, construction equipment on the right.

Attic with wooden floor, wooden beams and roof structure; stone column in the center, empty space.

A few more
Empty interior with glass sliding door to the balcony; tripod camera in the foreground.

Construction site: white curved wall, window on the right, tripod with leveling instrument.

Unfinished interior with camera on tripod, wooden shelf, and glass door to the balcony

A corner bungalow with a gable roof and open ceilings in the living and dining area.

In my opinion, a traditional L-shaped bungalow looks a bit off when paired with a gable roof.

My recommended reading as an "introduction to the topic" would be this: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/Bungalow-ca-168qm.24274 – I believe we also once discussed open roof undersides in the living and dining areas there.

This is the general appearance of the house.

Why sloped?
Modern single-family house made of light bricks with large windows, terrace, and a car in front.

Modern brick villa with large glass facades, terrace with lounge chairs, and green garden.

Bright dining room with wooden table, six black chairs, large windows, and open living area.

Why slanted?

I was referring to an L shape, not a U.
By the way, the acoustic ceiling in the pictured Hauscompagnie design wouldn’t be my preference for a residential house.
