I was shocked when I was at the house yesterday. There stood the expensive freestanding bathtub... but without the integrated water supply! That can’t be installed later on.
At the time of the selection process, I explicitly specified (in writing via email) that we needed the tub with this feature.
So how is the water supposed to get into the tub now???
The tub has already been installed… What am I supposed to do now?

Oh no! How much more expensive (manufacturer’s price) was this option? I was told: Inlet through the drain fitting: about 2000 EUR (approximately 2200 USD) MP!!!

For us, it was never a question whether the inlet was through the wall or via the drain; it’s not that much more expensive. We never had to discuss prices over something like that.
However, we also don’t have a catalog home.

The bathtub has already been installed.. What should I do now? You speak politely with your site manager and ask them to propose a solution.
Response A (satisfactory): "We will redo it and then the bathtub will fit perfectly with all connections,"—an email summarizing this statement, phrased indirectly, sent to the site manager with the note "If I have misrepresented or misunderstood anything, please correct me."
Response B (not satisfactory): Express that you do not agree with the proposed solution and explain your expectations. If they agree, revert to option A; if not, formally report the defect in writing and set a deadline for correction.
This is a relatively simple procedure.
