Hello everyone,
We are currently still in the brainstorming phase and are interested in hearing about the experiences and opinions of other (potential) homeowners.
What type of basement did you have built, and why? Looking back, are you satisfied with your decision? What would you do differently now? What would you consider the most successful aspect of your basement choice?
If you haven’t built yet: What is your favorite option and why?
We have a favorite among the various basement options, but first want to see how you all vote to avoid influencing anyone.
Best regards,
Ddorfer

I have updated our thread:
https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/Mehrfamilienhaus-3-weh-wohnkeller-doppelgarage-anregungen-zur-planung.14117/page-2#post-122035Hello, thanks for the update. I have looked at it. Interesting. However, isn’t the ramp quite complex to build? I mean, if it’s needed, it’s needed. Were there any alternatives considered?
The law requires that the ground floor access must have a maximum slope/incline of 6%. Therefore, the path will either be integrated into the front yard, or we will plan a stairlift/lift platform at the stairs. In other words, there won’t be a huge ramp installed there.
We are thinking of planning a path with a 10-12% slope (with a maximum of one switchback) integrated into the front yard, connecting the parking spaces and garden. For the stairs, a small lift or lifting device will be added. However, we can only be 100% sure once we thoroughly compare costs and options. The overall appearance must be coherent and practical. 😉
In any case, it must be schematically included in the plan, because—as mentioned before—the law is involved here (from 3 residential units onwards).
