Hello everyone, I’m interested in learning about common installation mistakes to definitely avoid with Ikea Metod kitchens. I have built several kitchens before, but with Metod, I notice that the cabinets have some specific characteristics, especially regarding alignment and stability. Specifically, I want to know if there are typical errors that frequently occur, such as incorrect screwing, imprecise alignment of the side panels, or incorrect mounting of the hinges, which can later cause problems. Maybe you can share from your experience what is particularly critical, so I can avoid these mistakes and end up with a stable, neatly assembled kitchen. Thanks in advance for your tips!

To prevent installation errors with Ikea Metod, I recommend strictly observing the following aspects: - Precise adherence to angles and dimensional specifications when joining the carcasses. Inaccuracies cause misalignment. I would like to add one more point here: The surface on which the kitchen is installed plays an important role. Even if all measurements are correct, uneven floors can require adjustments. A common mistake is to ignore this and not use shims or height leveling. In this regard, proper installation begins even before assembling the carcasses.

Don’t forget to align the base rails correctly! I once did it without paying close attention, and the cabinets ended up crooked. Absolutely crucial! The frame strips under the countertop also need to fit precisely. If the first cabinet is installed crooked, it affects all the others. Patience is definitely key here.Similar topics
