I can’t say anything about that. First, we need to wait and see what stops working as usual.
@webmaster ... ideally, the setting at the bottom of the reply window would match the setting in the profile. So, if a thread is set to “do not notify” for all three cases, it should also show this as the default highlighted in orange at the bottom of the reply window. That way, you only need to change it if you actually want a notification.

I have to be honest, I no longer believe this will become a fully functional forum. Every day, something is missing that other forums have—whether it's information in a user profile or, in my case, some controls still not working. Then there’s the constant repetition of notifications saying a new post has been made in a followed thread... yes, I wanted that. But functional. So that you get a clear signal when the first new post appears. In every other forum, including the former forum of HBF, there was a note saying “there could be more posts.”
What do we have here? A notification for EVERY single post.
Also, the login: I constantly have to log in again, even though I check the “stay logged in” box. That makes the “You have messages” feature useless, since I have to log in before I can see in the top right corner if there’s anything new.
And what else?

No information about who created it. Is there a thread creator or just a title?
By the way, the same happened here with @hanghausXY creating a thread—I explicitly asked back then who was asking, but there still is no info about who actually posed the question. Then the user details when writing: they are missing! I constantly have to waste unnecessary time figuring out how to address someone properly. But that doesn’t really matter either, because you never get a notification even if you are mentioned by name.
And there are more limitations, but I won’t list them (anymore). I’m not here to provide support for making this work properly. In the end, it’s just time spent and moderate frustration.
So the forum has been stuck in this superficial state for two months now and is hardly enjoyable anymore. Good on the outside, but poor on the inside. Ultimately, hardly any new questions come in here anymore. Regarding the poor attitude of users who don’t respond even after several answers, the forum/admin can’t do much about that either.
