I can’t say anything about that. First, we need to wait and see what stops working as usual.

And once again a malfunction ... the post numbers now visible within a thread do not contain a valid link.

The post’s link is copied to the clipboard to jump directly to the post (it also scrolls there).
What part of this function is not working for you?

That’s right, when I click on it,
https://www.hausbau-forum.de/posts/t9e8k4/
is copied to the clipboard.

But if I want to open the post in another tab, for example to compare something, I right-click to select it (which in the old forum was how you copied the link address), and then
https://www.hausbau-forum.de/#
appears instead.
See the screenshot as well (by the way, you still have to save it as a file first and cannot just paste it with CTRL+V). Unfortunately, the post preview doesn’t work either 😉.

Don’t worry, everything will be included. We’re already working on it, and many other things are coming as well.

By the time this forum regains even close to the usability it had before this failed rollout, all the people who made this forum what it was will have left.

I’ve said it before, so I’ll repeat myself: The only thing that will permanently help this forum survive is a full rollback. Then finish the new version on a separate subdomain. Test it with interested users. And once it has feature parity, THEN switch over. Forcing this unusable state to remain active at all costs is simply wrong. You’re not the only forum covering this topic. Until now, you were one of the better ones, but this change has pushed you straight into the abyss. Closing your eyes and pushing through is just wrong.

What do I think of the new design? DISTANCE!

I fully agree with the statements made by @Ganneff.
By the time you are ready and this forum regains even close to the usability it had before this failed rollout, all those who made the forum what it was will be gone.

I’ve said it before, so I’ll repeat myself: The only thing that would help this forum survive in the long term is a direct rollback. Then finish the new version on a separate subdomain. Test it with interested users. And only switch over when it achieves feature parity. Keeping this unusable state active by force is simply wrong. You’re not the only forum covering this topic. Until now, you were one of the better ones, but this change has pushed you straight into the abyss—just ignoring it and pushing through is simply wrong.

I just checked back after a few days. Things are really quiet here. One or two new topics in a week and practically no replies.

The forum has been effectively taken out of the game. In boxing terms: a technical knockout in the first round.
Where are all the promised upcoming features? After contributing tens of thousands of posts, I probably won't be posting anymore either. Goodbye. Or rather farewell, because that means we won’t see each other again.

Dear Admins,

Do you actually read this thread thoroughly and take it seriously? Unfortunately, you do not respond to the vast majority of comments and limit yourselves to statements like “this or that feature will be added soon.”
Even after ten pages of this thread, there is NO ONE who evaluates the relaunch positively. Instead, frustration dominates along with calls to revert the relaunch and develop a proper system in the background.
As I mentioned above, I can only support this approach as a software project manager. You don’t launch without key features, and certainly not without comprehensive testing.
No one approves of your current approach – and it goes against best practices. You neither do yourselves nor us a favor if you don’t roll back the update.
You are not software professionals – and for that, the mistake can be forgiven. But then please show a constructive way to deal with it. I am willing to assist with testing the new layout and also to advise whether it is time for the relaunch or if further development and testing would be better.
