I can’t say anything about that. First, we need to wait and see what stops working as usual.

Notification system (bell) is online.
You can now also set it for the heart icon. (Also when creating a thread and posting a reply)
Please let me know if this works for you.

That already looks good. Thanks 🙂

Also, if someone gives me a like or an angry emoji, I want to see that as a user.

Done

But do you have to enable it consciously for every thread? Could the notification bell be activated by default in threads where you have posted? Like how the instant email notification was set as the default at the beginning here?

Done, but you can also deselect it as an option when creating the post.

If you haven’t checked in here for a while, quite a bit has happened. I have already received the first email as well. Thank you.

A lot has happened, and it’s getting better.

But I still have a question: When I used to click on new posts (while logged in), only those that were actually new to me were shown, not the ones I had already viewed. The ones already seen are now displayed in a lighter color. This way, you can distinguish them, but wasn’t it the case before that they simply didn’t appear in the list of new (unread) posts?

Green marks the starting point from where I have not yet read, red basically the "old" notification that I have already read. Also, please do not show a separate bell icon for every post made in a thread, but rather something similar to the example visible below:

Unfortunately, it is like this: since the last time you read a thread, you get a bell icon for every new post made thereafter.

I had already read the post by @ypg at 2:03 PM, and then checked again at 6:22 PM. There are two entries for this thread here.
If you are involved in several threads that spark longer discussions, you end up with an endless list.

Normally, they didn’t appear in the list, but you could include the ones you’ve already seen by using a “Filter” button above the list. Here is an example from another forum using the same software that the house building forum used before the relaunch:
