New update:

If a post is deleted and there are reactions to it, these will now be removed from push notifications.

If a post shown in the push notification no longer exists, it will also be deleted—unless there is more than one post to view (according to the push notification), as in your case. Then you will be redirected to the thread (to the unread last post, if available), and the push notification should have been marked as "read."
Can you please confirm this second part for me?
