I can’t say anything about that. First, we need to wait and see what stops working as usual.

Since yesterday, whenever I haven’t been active for a while and get logged out (I did not select the ‘stay logged in’ option), I’m experiencing an issue where I can’t log back in unless I completely close the browser first. If I try to log in directly without closing it, no error message appears, but the username/email and password fields are simply empty again.

I understand that.

Personally, I don’t really mind if I’m inactive for longer periods.
However, it ruins a longer post when I want to respond thoroughly to a thread starter and not just dismiss their design with a short comment of 30 characters.
If I’m dealing with one problem or another here because I genuinely enjoy it, sometimes typing for more than half an hour on my phone, then having to pause because I still have a real life, and coming back to continue writing only to find everything gone—that’s very frustrating.
The forum has gained wide reach and recognition thanks to some consistent users who reply kindly, understandably, and with expertise. I believe I am one of them.

And the idea from @kbt09 to use multiple tabs—I do that on my computer—but it’s less practical for phone use, since it’s not always clear which tab you are actively writing on.
And honestly: since mid-January, I no longer feel confident that my post will be saved before submitting it.
In the old forum (people still say “things were better back then”), I had that assurance. And if something caused me to be logged out or anything else happened—I could rely on other hardware to still have my post saved.

In the old forum (the saying "everything was better back then" still applies here), I felt secure.

And to mention again: the questions arise because the forum has traffic. Why does the forum have traffic? Because of the answers, not the questions. Why answers? Because using a well-established forum is enjoyable when helping people. The questions come because answers pour in. Poured in.
Everyone has noticed that, it feels like 50% less is happening. There are users who no longer visit. So be it. There are contributors who no longer answer everything. So be it. But then the operator has to live with the consequences. One-third of the current answers relate to this “complaint thread.” Maybe only 20%.

I remember in this thread that the webmaster or admin basically said, “nothing more will happen in the green section.” And I think: it’s exactly this arrogance combined with this patchwork that will cost this forum dearly. The heart is no longer in it. Because the heart consists of the few who have consistently kept the forum going and are still trying now, but without success. Because these small steps may work with weight loss, vocabulary learning, or steps out of a financial hole or another deficit, but certainly not with educated and knowledgeable people who don’t have to, or who have other alternatives.
I think, for now, I’m actually out — regardless of whether something might or could work.
I must admit, this interface, where light blue does not clearly stand out on my screen, is no fun for me.
Quotes, originals, everything is vague and unclear...
My profile is still nothing but a Y with some posts — no user’s more than one page of posts is visible... actually, a forum should have something like a personal “personal file.” In this respect, it can hardly still be called a forum...

... I better stop complaining. It’s not really my thing. But honestly: even if the webmaster is making an effort, it’s nowhere near enough to be sufficient. But that has all been said before.

Yes, of course, I have been active in this forum since 2012, as well as in others. If there is something I know well, it is this.
Unfortunately, only the area/word where I hold the cursor longer is highlighted.

We have now solved this with arrows to sort multiple quotes, ensuring it works reliably everywhere. Instead of drag and drop. The order is preserved in the editor.

As soon as you click the "more new entries" button, the "own posts" indicator for a thread no longer appears in the overview.
