ᐅ We are planning an earth cellar for storing vegetables, potatoes, and similar items.

We tried exactly that. The two powerline adapters (from tp-link) somehow do not communicate with each other. At first, the connection still worked over half the length of the garden (not at all to the cellar). Later, the repeater only caused Wi-Fi connection drops. We’re running out of ideas.. 🙁Did you install the cable to the cellar yourselves? Are there any additional circuit protections installed?
In the end, an electrician will probably need to measure everything.
Since I have never dealt with such distances myself... Have you tried simulating the distance with a cable drum to see if the tp-link devices can technically handle it?
How did you test the connection over half the garden length?

How did you perform the test up to half the length of the garden? Yes, the cable was installed by ourselves. There are no protective devices in between. We simulated with a cable reel… during that, the TP-Link devices “apparently” connected and for a short time the Wi-Fi was available. But then the Wi-Fi kept dropping out (the LEDs on the TP-Link repeater were flickering between off and on). At half the garden length, there is a garden shed with a socket on the same electrical circuit. We will first replace the powerline adapters and see how it goes from there.

We simulated using an extension reel... during that, the TP-Link devices “supposedly” connected and Wi-Fi was briefly available. But then the Wi-Fi connection failures started (the LEDs on the TP-Link repeater were flashing “off” and “on”). At halfway across the garden length, there is a shed with a power outlet on the same electrical circuit. We will first replace the powerline adapters and then see how it goes.Great, maybe they really don’t have enough power for that distance.Something different – but not as elegant – I once tried two Wi-Fi directional antennas. It worked well except during heavy snowstorms or heavy rain.
If nothing helps, then probably a 4G/LTE SIM solution with a cloud-based monitoring device in the basement with an antenna (you have ventilation anyway).
Depending on how complex you want it, you could of course also set it up as an IPsec VPN connected to your home network, so there is no need for the cloud and everything stays “local.”

I would add a few more sphinxes.I thought the same thing when I saw this 😀ypg schrieb:
I just thought the same when I saw that 😀I had to go along with the majority decision here... the men thought it looked stylish that way. 😉 For my taste, the entrance would have been simpler... without masonry steps and preferably with a bit of wood.Similar topics
