On our property, there is an old pump cellar that has not been used for a long time. Together with our neighbors, we want to convert it into a root cellar. We have been thinking about how to design the entrance. So, I sat down again with Sweet Home 3D and visualized our ideas.

HoisleBauer2211 Jun 2022 23:34For those who prefer an easier option, there are also ready-made kits for earth cellars that only require an excavator with a lifting capacity of at least 1.5 tons for the "assembly." It sits quite deep underground. One example is the Cellaterra model. It costs around 5000€.
